Promoting a better understanding of the needs of South Carolinians with disabilities seeking to obtain and maintain competitive employment.
Encouraging training, education, and learning opportunities for staff providing direct consumer services.
Promoting professionalism, partnership and a sense of wholeness between SCVRD, community organizations, and individuals with disabilities.
Sponsoring or promoting professional and social activities which inform individuals with disabilities, businesses and other community organizations of the services provided by SCVRD and determine needs and concerns regarding disability related issues.
DCSD membership is open to SCVRD employees that provide direct services to consumers.
